As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the Funk Foundation is dedicated to supporting archaeological research by professional, student, and avocational archaeologists. Based on grant applications, we make research grants of up to $2500 available for studies of New York State archaeology. Funding for these grants relies on tax-deductible donations from organizations and individuals. The Foundation's Board of Directors serves in a voluntary capacity to review grant applications, award and oversee grants, and administer these funds. Your donation helps to ensure funding for small-scale research projects that make significant contributions to our collective understanding of the human past in the New York region.
Donations can be made by check made out to "The Robert E. Funk Memorial Archaeology Foundation, Inc." Checks should be accompanied by a form, letter, memo or other indication that the donation is for the Funk Foundation. Donations are placed in a restricted account that will be accessible only by the Foundation Board.
